Laser Target Designator

Post by Mackem »

Hi All,

Has anyone done this mod? You can get a 1.5v laser pen/pointer for £3.00 these days.
Apparently it's quite easy to wire it up to the machine gun circuit on your HL tank.

Cheers

Hi,

I think this would be likely to bring the Health & Safety mob down on the club rubbing their hands with glee if they saw one of these in use in public.

Health and safety wont have any problem with it aslong as they are standard laser pen lasers but it can still damage eye/cause worry.

I don't think health and safety will be a problem, after all they are safe to use in a room full of students.
Fleshpedler, the one I'm looking at runs on 2AAA batteries which would make it 3v (my mistake)
Will have to check out the wiring diagrams provided by brel to see if it will work.

Cheers lads

Hi Pete,

I dont think it will. As far as I know 'Creeping Death' tanks already have this mod fitted.
My idea is to wire it to the machine gun circuit, give a quick burst to see if you are on target, then fire the main weapon.
Have seen some on ebay for £1.99 plus postage, am definitely going to give it a go.

Cheers

Darkith is not sure if it would effect DBU/TBU so I would wire it to a switch so it can be turned off if you have it equiped with I.R.battle system .

Hi Pete,

The intention is to wire it into the machine gun circuit so it would be operated by pressing the machine gun button on the tx.
I'll test it on an IR battle system when I get it sorted and report the outcome.

Cheers
