Hi everyone,
Im new to the forum and to RC tanks, coming from RC model boats many years ago.
I wanted to ask folks advice regarding converting the Action Man Scorpion tank, it's a project I've wanted to do for many years, and have now acquired one to get things started.
I was intrigued how this chap did it (see YouTube link), as he kept the original tracks, something I'm also keen to do.

Re: Action Man Scorpion tank
Hi, welcome to the forum.
I had a look at the video in your link and he lists a geared motor in the comments section.
It appears he mounted the motors inside the hull but with the gearbox part actually outside.
He has used the standard drive sprockets but added button head screws in the existing holes leaving enough length for them to engage with the track edge as the pitch appears to be a match.
He's then made a plate with a collet that is screwed to the centre of the sprocket and fastened to the drive shaft from the gearbox with a grub screw.
Hopefully some of this is of help.
