Best Way to Stencil?

Post by PershingLover »

I just ordered some custom stencils from Rad, and I am asking for guidance on how best to do it.

Rad's site says low pressure, I'm thinking that's around 20 PSI or less?

How do you prevent overspray?

Mask around the stencil extensively, spray perpendicular to the stencil, use thin coats and build opacity. If you do this you should be fine.

Hi,
Rad is spot on with his technique.
I would recommend using stencils for anyone who uses an airbrush. Start with simple one colour logos or numbers then progress to two and three colour designs. It is a great way to get a unique look to your vehicle.

A few of my stencil works.

Cheers

I use a Pentel fine nib Paint pen around the edge of the stencil then finish with a small sponge applicator (Cheap as chips on E-Bay).
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
