It's not a Panther II turret as none where ever built but it is a Panther F turret

i think Woz meant that a typhoon could destroy a Maus, probably by dive bombing it with a nice little 'surprise' on its top armour. that ought to finish it off.

i was told one did make it to combat but it was a wooden mockup with no gun they tried to scare the enemy off.
but it didnt work and the enemy shell went strait through it.
and the gearboxes coulnt cope with the wieght so they made a wooden prototype.
dont know if this is true tho?

wooden mock ups where totally static it's hardly likely that the Germans would put a lot of effort into a tank that didn't work.

The words "Bogged Down" & "Sitting Duck" come to mind. Im sure the Allies would eventually find out what could penetrate it. A Tall Boy maybe?
