Toro 76mm

Post by Jimmer »

Hi I purchased a toro Sherman 76mm I was going to weather it but as I wiped it over with a damp sponge some of the body paint started to flake off, have anyone else had this problem the paint on my torro tiger1 was fine .

A water dampened sponge should not damage a sprayed on acrylic paint finish and it certainly shoundn't flake off. It suggests the model wasn't primed correctly. Was this an area of painted metal or plastic? I have experienced paint lifting off metal around hinges on metal turrets which would have been either Taigen or Torro models.

I think you may have reason to talk to your supplier.

It was on the plastic top deck there’s no flaking on the metal lower hull or top turret

Is this a new tank or did you purchase it used, if new I would most certainly contact the dealer about a exchange. Assuming their willing to pay return postage.
But it’s a dry heat!

It is a new tank but had it for a while untouched in box, it all looked and worked fine on first examination.
