First job was to chop the tops off the old ones and sand them flat

Next I machined some derlin rod on the lathe and machined the folds/grooves in the tops

I then drilled through these and placed some still rod I had bored out for the connecting pipe between the filter housings, then made some pipe flanges out of plasticard and some small bold heads.
Then filled the bottom housing with scrap plastic and milliput over the top and sanded flat to mount the upper



I also drilled a hole in the back and mounted a small brass Bush and wleds for the drain plug.
After making more flanges for the connecting pipes glued it all together and painted


Then machined some brass caps for the drain plugs and painted them


And this is where we are currently at

Just need to attach some chain to retain the drain plugs, I think they have turned out quite well if I do say so
