Thought I might start a thread about books. Something to keep us entertained during this pandemic, right?
I'll throw in some books about my favorite tank, the Pershing.
-Spearhead, by Adam Makos, about the Pershing vs Panther duel in Köln
-Another River, Another Town, by John Irwin, the gunner on the Super Pershing
-Death Traps, by Belton Cooper, helped create the Super Pershing, also the source of most of the Sherman's bad reputation.

Re: Books on Armor
I’ll bite!
‘Stalingrad’ and ‘Berlin’ by Antony Bevor - WWII cause and effect in action...
‘SAS Rogue Heroes’, ‘Double Cross’ and ‘Operation Mincemeat’ by Ben MacIntyre - WWII intrigue at its best
‘Tiger Tracks’ by Wolfgang Faust - WWII from the German perspective
‘A Higher Call’ by Adam Makos - WWII US bomber crew meets German fighter ace
‘Chickenhawk’ by Robert Mason - best book
And some interesting Photojournalist accounts:
‘Unreasonable Behaviour’ by Don McCullin - a masterclass in understatement
‘The Bang Bang Club’ by Greg Marinovich and Joao Silva - South Africa end of Apartheid

Re: Books on Armor
I'll throw in a couple," Panzer Ace" (The memoirs of an iron cross panzer commander) by Richard Freiherr Von Rosen, also, "Soviet Lend -Lease Tanks of World War II" by Steven J. Zaloga (Osprey New Vanguard No 247). One book I always return to is "Modelling the Tiger I" (Osprey Modelling No 37), I had to re-glue pages into mine, it's so well thumbed! I love this book ); if you want a bit of light relief, try "The Tin Drum" by Gunter Grass. I have (long paused) builds for Fehrmann Tigers F05 and F13,Tamiya Full option IS-2 potential StuG and StuH III' s and a lend lease m4A2 (I have the Engine Deck!). Progress limited as I've worked for some time getting things right for my partner who has MS, selling up a semi, moving to a bungalow and working on renovating/refurbishing this for the last 18 months plus. I still aqcuire bits and pieces for my builds and will have my "Tank Room" ready in a few weeks
P.S. Some of the best "Books" you could read are the fantastic documented builds on RC Tank Warfare's Forums, from the likes of Sovereign Zuul,jimbo_wa, Rob '59 PainlessWolf, Herman Bix et al. These and other builds keep me going, vicariously; I think they are a great resource and inspiration and would recommend all "Newbies" to look up these treasures with regard to their own builds.
With regard to our global situation, stay sensible, safe and healthy y'all. Our world will be changed when we come through this but we WILL prevail... and LFC WILL win the Premier League
