Re: 1936 leFH 18 10.5cm Towed Artillery
Tonight saw the gun and truck combo completed. I am awaiting the opportunity to purchase some red star stencils from Rad but aside from that add-on, everything is built, painted and weathered. I will do a video this weekend ( weather providing ) and assemble a Show-Off thread and then it is on to the next Build ( with a little progress on the Stuart thrown in for good measure. ) Pics: ( Click to Enlarge )

Good Morning, xhelfix!
Thanks for looking in. The weather is supposed to be good this weekend so as Herman would say "Confidence is High!" I'm glad that this Kit turned out well. I don't know if MPM made many more kits ( A Pak 40 and a Kubelwagen supposedly ) but they are definitely worth the time and effort to clean and assemble.

Just like a British 17 Pounder there is something very iconic about the shape of the 10.5cm. Thank you for posting .

Good Morning Will and Wild Boar!
The distant mutter and crump of Artillery in use is a sort of sleep aide, crazy as it sounds, for me. The keyword is _distant_ as my tinnitus is bad enough as is. I'll have the Thread and Video up here in a few days. Some may find heavy trucks and towed guns a little boring but I had a lot of fun and learned a great deal about the guns and limbers and the vagaries of Lend Lease while researching and doing this Build. ;o)

Mr Wolf, there is nothing boring about towed artillery in our house. My Gt Uncle Cyril served in the 91st (London) Field Artillery BEF France 1940 and drove a Scammell Pioneer pulling 25-pdr's. Unfortunately he and the crew never made it inside the perimeter at Bergues outside Dunkerque , he ran into a German column and that was his war over spending the next 4 years in the bag Stalag VIII Lamsdorf. What little he would say, we kids in our house hung on his every word.
