Got to hand it to Haya, sure is a bold and determined step.
No one else has had a go at bringing such things to mass market & good on him.

I second that, Herman
After, let's say, something of a shaky start- a few years back- that attracted a modicum of criticism, Andrew's now decidedly at the cutting edge of the Tank hobby. We can applaud his recent products, and entrepreneurial verve. He takes risks where others merely talk the talk, but don't clank the tank
Here's a very short video of the new smoker available on his website. It's also the one that can supply the 'smoking barrel'. I just wish he'd film in landscape, rather than portrait mode.

Seeing that the Chieftain was the first release I have not been disappointed with my mine.

Chieften was in fact second release. But first using his own electronic design as far as I knowtankme wrote:Seeing that the Chieftain was the first release I have not been disappointed with my mine.
It’s your tank it’s what you make it

This is the first time l've seen his Chieftain close up and the quality of the build and the upgrade kits are impressive. If this is the standard Haya is introducing then we have little to fear other than the impact on our pockets!

As I recall, several discerning members have already been very impressed by the overall quality of the build, and by a couple of extra neat features, he's included in the internal outfitting.General Jumbo01 wrote:This is the first time l've seen his Chieftain close up and the quality of the build and the upgrade kits are impressive. If I were really interested in relatively modern armour, I'd dig deep in my pockets (and this requires deep pockets) to buy one of these. However, despite now having the Leopard and Chally 2, I try to stick to WW2
tracked vehicles. If Andrew could produce a WW1 MK 4 British tank, to this standard, I'd happily go out washing dishes to get one.

Here's a reminder of just one of those members' impressions:

Just like you, l've recently been tempted by the low price of the Leopard and Chally and strayed there too. This model would fit in neatly with these two.
Xmas has just passed, as has my birthday. The trouble is, if l were to indulge the Chieftain l would want it with every bell and whistle Haya has and we would be well into Tamiya pricing territory. But that's still a bargain for what you get! Oh dear.... Is there s cure?

...and here's the Chieftain grandstanding at Bovington, no less.
It looks annoyingly cool. Annoying, in the sense of tugging at the purse strings
