Ehhh no? Well, yes you shoud, but no that would be different from what I use it for. If I do not forget I'll try to explain tomorrow, when it's not 2 o clock at night haha!Exhibitedbrute wrote:So if I employed your method as the tank I’m doing is the crusader in the TOTM thread as it’s a desert tank the only shading/grime would really be around the hatches handles and fuel caps so could I use let’s say my khaki brown or a dark grey wash applied by brush in those areas then go over the whole thing with the dust wash by airbrush?
Even though I'm fully awake now I cannot find the exact right words to describe what I want to answer, but let's put it like this: shading is more to make large flats and shapes stand out because on a model the light makes different shadows than on a real vehicle. But what you mean is more like wash to make small details stand out more. But basically everything you describe would help!Exhibitedbrute wrote:So if I employed your method as the tank I’m doing is the crusader in the TOTM thread as it’s a desert tank the only shading/grime would really be around the hatches handles and fuel caps so could I use let’s say my khaki brown or a dark grey wash applied by brush in those areas then go over the whole thing with the dust wash by airbrush?

Experiment a lot, don't be afraid to simply try stuff and see what happens!
