More HL Pz.III help please

Hi Can I mate a HL Pz.III basic none sound / smoke bottom to a Sound / smoke top ? The conecting plug from top to bottom is the same and same colour wires ?

  Also to make a none smoking HL Pz. IV smoke , noise , recoil etc can I just fit a RX18 board and get a S&S controler with the same crystels ? then use the wireing for the motors , remove the BB gun and fit recoil ?

Hi...yup again.. you seem to have it cracked.

The tanks are all externally the same plastic moulding.

Internally the tanks have all screw fixing points moulded in.

The controllers are different internally so you need an S+S controller

The small rx card and crystal is ok to use again

Change the big card for an RX18...I did but it is not cheap...you get a cable kit with the card...I did.

use double sided tape to mount the RX18 card

Install the smoke unit, it comes with a cable that plugs into the RX18 card

All the units just plug into the rx18 card with the supplied cords.

the small rx card already has a cord that you use to connect to the RX18 card.

There are diagrams on here for you to follow.... be careful that you plug into the correct RX18 connector socket because they are not plainly signwritten. Again..take your time and double check before you connect the battery. If you cant find the diagram, ask and someone will tell you where it is on this site. I can e-mail it to you if you like.

I have not installed a recoil unit so someone else will have to inform you on that part but I am sure it is just as simple as the above. Because of this I cannot say if you use the same connector cable from the turret to the RX18 card.

I have done all the above recently, it is simple as long as you take your time and ask as many questions as you like.

No one here will be upset about your questions because we all started like you....in fact you are having a real go at this tank aren't you so well done and enjoy the build cos it is as much fun as running the finished tank.

If I am wrong on any of my answers, someone will correct me during the next couple of evenings, so let a few more people offer advice and act accordingly...ok

  Hi thanks thats what I thought . You see a guy on here wants to swap a basic HL Pz.III for a HL PZ.III which I want to do the opersite . Only thing being I would want to convert his one to S&S .Thankyou and Wibblywobbbly to/.
