I don't, but find that 18 to 14 awg is about right for flexibility (silicone wires!) and the amps drawn by most tanks

I should probably have just PM'd you Jim! Was the stuff you used for the battery connector wires in the 18awg?

Saw a query on another website where it gave the gauge as 18AWG (this can handle up to 83 amps). The gauge on Tamiya boxes appears to be a tad thicker. :think:
edit: checking on Ebay for RC spares, I found this Tamiya battery connector listed as 18AWG. I also saw others at 14AWG...

I guess it's better to err on the side of thicker wires (more turns etc) from a safety point of view.

Not like these tanks would ever see more than 15A continuous draw anyways...
Not like a 1/10 or 1/8 scale electric RC car (ERevo or other huge 6+ Cell driven monsters)

Err - it's written on the cables, but think it's 18awg... :shifty:
