True. But you know the real reason the Pershing was late, and the Panther wasn't? They had to make sure the Pershing worked, and well. They rushed the Panther for Kursk, and only about 60 of the 200 Panthers made it there without breaking.

That and switching production would have meant a gap in supply.

Could a Panzer IV bounce a 90mm HE shell?

With between 8 mm and 30mm armour its doubtful,more likely even a 90HE projectile would go through a PZ.Iv like a hot knife thru butter. Lol
