1/6 Schwimmwagen on ebay

The 1/6 Dragon Schwimmwagen kit has been OOP for years and very, very hard to find. Suddenly a seller pops up on ebay with three of them, listed as brand new, but the price is very high. Almost twice what they cost new back in 2002. Yes, I was dumb enough, but I've been looking for one of these for a very long time. I now have all three Dragon 1/6 scale variants, the Type 82, the DAK with balloon tires, and now (finally) the schwimmwagen. The plan is to wrap up some stuff by the first of the year, like the tanker truck and a couple tank projects I have in line, mostly stuff like metal roadwheels for my M41, M26 and Tauchpanzer, and then I want to RC all three of these kubel kits, saving the schwimmwagen for last (I'll need the experience from the first two when I tackle this one).

And I made another good ebay score the other day, a 1/6 Dragon figure of Generalfeldmarschall Rommel, brand new in the box, in his Afrika Korps uniform, for just $15 USD. They usually go for somewhere around $60 or $75. He already has a seat waiting in the DAK Kubel.

looks good, but far too big for me, i haven't plucked up courage for 1/6 yet lol

Will, you don't know what you're missing. With the larger scale it is so much easier to get better detail and the parts are always larger and easier to handle, which can be a real bonus for an antique modeller like me.

haha, i think i could build 2 models and my kids have no room to sleep, lets see if i get bigger house and big garage and then we on. just need to find where i left that spare million, sure it was under the sofa cushion, or did i hide it in the car that i scrapped? lol
