Well the release date for the BT-7 was August 2019. OH wait, it's past August. Release dates mean nothing...

They only mean nothing if the outfit announcing them are managerially incompetent. Would l buy from such a business? I too wanted a BT-7 but now I'm not sure. I just hope the after sales service is better than the presales!

Latest post from Clark regarding Cromwell showing the level of quality he's planning. Unlike another brand who I don't want to name, Clark doesn't have an aversion to using rubber tyres for his drive wheels.

People can cope(albeit at times vocally) with inaccuracies as long as they have something to start with. That inaccuracy can be overcome.
No good telling a story of rubber tyres on ours V's none on theirs, sloped engine deck V's flat, etc etc blah blah blahhhhhhhh if they HAVE a something that can be bought, and you(the proverbial new product to market) have nothing to offer but promises........
Any 'tard can make an ideal product with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, but for a new entry to a market, knowing all others after will either copy or have at least benchmark product from which to improve from, being the trail-blazer, must be daunting both from a commercial point and a peer critique perspective.

Tamiya have released a very niche product(the Sheridan) which has to be said is in abject defiance of the mood of the broader market in the hobby and the scale.
The virtual 'Walker Bulldog' of Tamiya.............
They can afford to risk this.
H/L have spent years building a foundation of mass supply, to secure a market sector, and benefit from the parts & upgrades market that follows which they have only partial influence on.
The broader market want a Tiger..................its inaccurate...............but so and so can sell you bits to sort that.............or you can do it yourself.
(Company X) can promise you a this and that version, with this and that feature, which will be amazing and all that jazz, but where is it ?
What is the cost of it ?
Who will stock it to sell ?
Who and where will support the parts for it ?
When will it be available ?

This is what we the buying public want to know.

Warned it was coming (tick)
With that tested the potential segment of the market(tick)
Released progress on design, form, and features as they were confirmed(tick)
outlined the cost profile to market(tick)
Manufactured for market sale(tick)
Released to market within a reasonably short time(tick)

BOOM -return on investment and secured market share with ongoing sales of actual product, with ample room to progressively improve design.

Just decide & get on with it, it really not that hard..........................

Couldn't agree more. It's the classic "shite or get off the pot" conundrum some have to figure out. Personally, I hope Clark gets his act together with either the Cromwell or BT-7 as first designated release since I don't plan to go with this other brand.
