1/6 scale - ohh YEA - That also what I want ( when I have 3-4000 Euro that I dont know what to do with). Actually I already bought my crew team for a 1/6 scale Tiger as well as 3 paratroopers to sit on the rear deck  ;D
All 5 incl equipment are just waiting to get their tank
Best regards
Steen

2006 was the last time I saw the Tiger running in the rain it was misfiring like mad if you have a look on youtube for tank fest 2004 and 2006 you will hear it, 2006 was also the year the SdKfz Foundation went with there half-tracks and Jagdpanther this was also the year the Henschel Tiger II returned to Bovington

I wholeheartedly agree it was a fabulous weekend. Even more so meeting up with Matt (Matdragon) & his dad, Pete (Fleshpedler), Paul (septon) and Paul's bro Matt. It's a real shame we missed you Kev.

I just got back about 4-15 this afternoon so I'm a bit cream-crackered at the moment. Here's some more pics to accompany madbadger's

Cheers

The Tiger was running rich when they fired it up first time, they had to do some adjustments to get it running right. I could hear plenty of German accents around the WW2 stuff, they must love seeing that beast running. I was also amazed how quiet it was, but it was a Maybach that they pinched out of a KT, and they never run it flat out cos it will probably crack the block again!

The first restored Tiger engine was a HL210 this had an oil pump problem which lead to a piston seizure causing a con-rod to break then going through the cylinder and block this engine was restored using all original parts which will always be a bad idea the second engine was a HL230 again using all original parts this was running on a test rig the guys testing this engine went for lunch when they came back the engine had seized this Bovington don't like to talk about for obvious reasons the third engine I believe is a mix of parts mainly HL230 this was rebuilt at tremendous cost by the SdKfz Foundation using many new parts hence why she now runs so well the only other running Tiger is in France and that is a Tiger II, Bovington have been offered a HL210 engine from a private collector who intends to build a running Tiger II but I would have thought that this would be 5-7 years down the line

Great pics Matt, you and I have almost identical Tiger vids, but done at different times. Were yours Sat or Sun? We were stood almost on the same spot?? Yours is way better though...my mobile camera video is awful.

Ahh...mine was Sat when it went to and from the arena. I wonder if any of us are in each others photo's. Without publishing all of them we will never know!
