Dead Tiger

                        Ran H.L Tiger yesterday fine.Today wont even turn on!

                                                Any Suggestions?

do all of the batteries have a full charge

yes ive tried all batteries.the only thing i can see is that oil has escaped from smoke unit,im thinking could this have fried the boards.

Hi Had it this on one of my tanks try the switch move it backwards and forwards a few times mine had a bad contact sometimes it worked others it wouldnt ended up changing it and cured the problem .Dont think oil from the smoke unit could do any damage there isnt enough there .

It won't be the smoke oil. Its a pain taking the Tiger apart, but it might be your only option. The HL components can sometimes have awful solder joints that suddenly break loose for no apparent reason.

these are commonly called dry joints, when there is not enough solder holding the components together
one cure is to tin the soldering iron bit and wipe it across the joint to get the solder to run into the joint properly.

another method is to tin the iron again and as you wipe the iron across the joint just touch the free end of the solder to the joint for a second allowing solder to flow into the joint to strengthen it. the solder must touch the joint components only and not the iron, because we want the solder into the joint and not on the iron, I suggest you put the wipe the iron one one side of the joint and touch the solder to the opposite  side to the iron.

Thanks for replys,opened it up and found a wire had come off the on/off switch.re soldered it,all working now.
