Hey there, just thought to give you a final update on this testbed. Muted the tank with some Ammo by MIG Earth and damp Earth products applied as a streaky filter and now call this scene done befor moving to the next project.
That camouflage scheme is really striking, but effective. It's turned out great (was there ever any doubt?), Soeren; the filter works wonders with what would otherwise be bright colours.
Finally I decided to go back to the dio for the 1/16th scale tank, cut and trimmed some more bricks to do the missing wall section and started to work on a figure to stand beside the tank. It is the Dragon 1/16th scale Tank Commander Kit No 1609
This is my interpretation of a summer Oak Leaf Camo Jacket.
The Hermann. I am still shaken by the observation of my mistake. Thank you Mr Cash bait for bringing this tone my attention. Just glued Epaulettes to another figure the other day, correct orientation of course, but didn't realise my mistake here. Last night I was looking into those epaulettes in pictures on actual uniforms. Yeah. thisbtimbereits right in front of my head.
Soeren your painting skills are exceptional. A simple miscue is what makes this hobby fun, a simple fix and the best feeling in the world, satisfaction from a job well done.
