Hi everyone. Im Adam.
Always had an interest in military vehicles, either real or RC whether it be aircraft or helis, especially German stuff but im going to be a complete novice when it come to RC tanks!!
I want to pick up my first 1/16 soon, more than likely a tiger or jagdpanther with an eventual long term goal of hopefully having something in 1/6. (Id donate both kidneys for a 1/6 jagdpanther or hetzer!)
It appears the newcomer is completely spoilt for choice between manufacturers with all of them producing the same tanks with hugely differing price tags
I do like to tinker a lot to make models look more real so would probably shy away from something prepainted as building for me is just as much fun as operating the model.
I keep looking at and coming back to the Torro unpainted metal tiger. Would this be a wise first forray into armour or are there better choices out there?
Is 1/16 a worthwhile training step for operating the bigger machines?
Im honestly all ears.
How you doing guys!

Welcome along
It’s a confusing world of tanks out there but we can point you in a good direction.
Where abouts in the world are you?

Hello and welcome to the forum Mr adz955
Yep, the Grantham club will make you feel most welcome.
With the added bonus of forgebear tanks being there with wonderful products, they are super magicians, they can make your money disappear, just like that, and make it reappear in the form of a tank, so clever
Enjoy the forum.

Welcome. There's usually a good selection of armour there so you'll see what's available. Dave takes plastic: very dangerous....
