Wonder why they listed them & didn't declare as Historic Wrecks: unless they wish to keep them open to the public.

There's sections of Mulberry harbour sitting on the mud banks just off Shoeburyness, Thames estuary. Normally makes local radio whenever some cargo ship bumps into them.

Just nearby the part sunken US munitions ship that's still threatening to take out Canvey Island when the salt water finally corrodes through the many tons of shells, bombs etc. No real loss.

If that's the one I think it is it's expected to do more then remove Canvey Island: could remove a fair bit of London. Still not a great loss......

Peripheral damage is inevitable and fully acceptable. The use of unnecessary violence has been authorised. Great film.

You mean the SS Richard Montgomery thats a wreck just off Sheerness on the Isle of Sheppey. It has about 1500 tonnes of TNT on board and presents no real threat at the moment, although it did put an end to any airport in the Thames estuary saga. Removing the explosives are probably not an option after what happened in Folkstone.

Yes, its masts are clearly visible from the foreshore. Its too unstable to unload and dispose of the contents but the hull is rotting and will at some point collapse. You could clear parts of Essex and Kent just before that happens to save lives but...when?? Still, people still live in more dangerous places, like Glasgow, Manchester, Eastbourne etc.
