A filter as suggested could help but so would a long travel bass unit as it shifts more air. It will struggle with the upper frequencies a bit but you could retain a small high frequency speaker too (don't worry about a crossover) and just use the bass cone for the smoker 'pump'. I'd also recommend you use a funnel/cone shaped behind the speaker cone so the air is funneled into the smoker rather than left to itself to find a hole/tube to get there.
That 'other' KT video example certainly works well. Copy that??
