Verlinden 2019 reissues

Post by lmcq11 »

It seemed to me that Lots-of-Models was selling brand new Verlinden kits instead of the old ones in beat up boxes that we usually see on eBay.

When I inquired about their origin, this is their reply.

"we own verlinden and warriors.
these are produced using the original masters, but better silicon rubber and resin. The masters were also adjusted to have smaller carrier (easier to remove) and at places refined details. "

See link below for Verlinden kits on their website. I see many 1/16 figures I have not seen in a long time for RC Panzer crews.

Good news, hope they bring more.

I know when Francois Verlinden retired he destroyed all his moulds to stop his work being downgraded. I often wondered what happened to the masters. Good to see his work back for sale. However, whether any of it will appear on this side of the pond is another matter.

Never really liked Verlinden for my tanks as 120mm actually translates to 1/15 and I find most of the figures oversized for our tanks. also pricing has become stupid....

I agree about the price. As they are a little on the large size, I use them in dioramas. They are never that close to the tanks. Don't look so bad then.

I'm with you on this. 1/16th and 120mm don't belong in the same sentence, it's misrepresentation, it can only be one or the other, and I've seen too many figures stated as 1/16th when they're not.

They also have reissued the Warriors Desert Rat Tanker. Cost and overseas shipping is reasonable for a full figure, and have 10% off coupon.
