tamiya pershing schumo parts

Post by paulc »

Hi all just joined this group, I have got my hands on an unbuilt Tamiya Pershing and was looking for upgrade parts. on a few sites people have recommended to upgrade the suspension with the schumo set but I cannot find one anywhere. does anyone know somewhere I can get hold of these, I live in the uk and I always in the past used welsh dragon models. contacted them but they no longer stock them but they did reply to my email and recommended I try https://www.axels-modellbau-shop.de/katalog/en/. they are out of stock and I cant find them anywhere. does anyone know where I can get some. I have tried the schumo site but just says site will be relaunched soon. any help would be appreciated

Schumo and Axel's are the same people. Imo none of the running gear upgrades to the Pershing are needed. Save your money and use for nice things like crew, schumo scope guards and maybe the schumo rain cover bit if youre feeling wild!

I ordered a set of the Pershing scope guards and a couple of other bits from Axels last week.

The shipping is a bit steep and they’re still to be sent, hopefully the package will get to the UK ASAP once packed!

East Coast Armory here in the states makes some nice resin aftermarket parts for the Pershing. Final drive resin reinforcement brackets, gun mount etc.....

Shipping may be expensive, but it's fast (48h).

Happy with my purchases, but would be great if Tamiya UK could obtain replacement sprues for vendors... Image

Have you tried Tony's Tamiya Spares on EBay? He buys direct from Tamiya and sells sprues from nearly all the RC kits and will order if not in stock. He's been doing it for years and is very reliable.
Give him a call.
