They usually have a peak flow auto cut off so you dont have to bother with working out charging times and all that when fast charging, just plug in and hit the button, shouldnt matter if it isnt fully discharged. And they're usually Nicad or Nimh compatable.
can anybody reccomend a fast charger ?
Re: can anybody reccomend a fast charger ?
Yep the Speedy Models one looks similar to mine but doesnt really say what it does. It did mention it'll do 6 & 7 cell batteries so thats fine for what you want (7.2v & 8.4v). Unfortunately i cant access ebay from my work PC (dont tell the boss im here
) - I'll check later from home to make sure about the other one Matt.

Thats the one I have. I originally bought the cheaper one, but soon discovered that it was draining the batteries rather than charging them. I rang Modelsport and they upgraded it free of charge, saying that they had quite a few problems with the cheap one!Matdragon wrote:hi again is this the one ? i wont particualrly be buying from here, just confirming ive got the tight chargeswibblywobbly wrote: You won't do a lot better than a Prolux Go-Peak peak predict charger. It charges a 3300 battery in no time at 4 amps, and has settings for 1,2 or 4 amp charging. It also comes with 12v battery connectors, plus leads for a tx or Tamiya connector.
The nice thing is that it detects when the battery is charged and beeps, then automatically cuts back to a trickle charge, so you can't fry batteries.
Mine cost under £30 off one of the bid model shops on the web.?

Matt, i'm not too sure about that 2nd one you found on ebay. It didnt really make it clear if its an intellegent charger so you might have to work out charge times and make sure the battery if fully drained first.

Re: can anybody reccomend a fast charger ?
i asked the seller and he said it will automatically go onto trickle after charging, but your right, id much rather go for one somebody already has, as id rather be Safe than Sorry!
