Interesting M4A3 105 HL

Non standard tanks are kind of my thing, though I wish I had the skills to make them work, especially the more outlandish ones.

AFAIK there once was a Panther command vehicle with a Pz IV turret on top. The turret didn't turn, but I'm sure that'd be easy to make in RC using standard components.

True, though I meant more like fictional tanks, like the ones I posted once. I might build a Panther command vehicle at some point though

Here are a couple of prototypes, or hybrids, for your collection Ash. The first is the Churchill 'Black Prince' variant, with a 17-Pounder (76mm), and what looks like the early prototype Comet turret.
Next, the Matilda 2; sporting a Cromwell or maybe Centaur turret. Had they managed to put a Rolls-Royce Meteor engine (Comet, Centurion) in the B.P., it would have had sufficient power for its 50-ton builk to get around the battlefield fast enough to justify production. Maybe Six prototypes were built. It had great armour, and a great gun.

The Churchill Black Prince looks pretty cool, wish they had atleast sent one or two onto the battlefield, probably would of been great at fighting the German tanks. The Matilda tank with the Cromwell turret reminds of the Churchill NA 75 for whatever reason

Lert, I thin you're referring to the artillery observation vehicle (Panzerbeobachtungswagen), the barrel was made of wood so it looked like a tank for added protection, that being maybe a Sherman wouldn't shoot at it thinking it had a gun.

There was ( I believe 4) actual Panther tanks made with a Panzer IV turret, these were used to train the crews to drive the new panthers before the tanks were to enter service and sent to the eastern front.

You're probably right, would still make an interesting RC project.
