Panzer IV mit Hydrostatischem Antrieb

Post by c.rainford73 »

I'm a big fan of the panzer IV and have always been interested in the hydrostatic drive system in the prototype panzer IV that was built. Not the prettiest thing of course....

But.....

With all the wonderful advances in the hobby especially 3-D printing, I'm wondering if anyone has built or would consider altering a panzer IV to build one of these?

If there are any completed scale remote controlled builds of this I'd really like to see one. ImageImage

The Pz IV Hydro has always reminded me of

I saw this thing in real life back in 2010 in APG.
Ugly as a hat full of assholes !!!
Not that tanks are supposed to be aesthetically pleasing, but these things :O :wtf:
Another frustrating waste of limited resources by people that should have known better !
Looks like this to me

I was thinking one may have been built as remote controlled or someone would want a one off, albeit not attractive version of the famous Panzer IV

It does get uglier when you describe it as you have Herman :lolno:

I wonder how difficult it would be to make that curvaceous rear end with plasticard or 3-D printing.....

I agree, it isn't much of a looker, but something about that rounded rear draws the eye....... :{ ;) I kinda like it.

You've just reminded me of a robot in the 2005 film, "robots"

I thought that rear end looked vaguely familiar, Carl. ;)
So, after mooching around, I found I once posted it as: the 'Big Booty version of the PzIV.." :haha: Maybe Ms Kardashian's plastic surgeon had been a Pz IV fan, eh? :haha:
I think it unlikely that she'll ever read this post; but if she does, it was just for fun...no offence intended....honest :D
