Re: HL Truck Mods
Here is my new Russian Truck almost done. Have to clean up the decals and a little more detailing. The most excellent wheels and rim STL files supplied by Martin Fensom replace the original over scale knobby tires. So really for the $40 bucks the truck costs, plus the 3D printing of the new stuff which although it takes a while to print is really cheap, you get a nice little WW II R/C truck to use on the field!

Re: HL Truck Mods
Our unit Rembrandt got busy on the Q60. I think I'm almost ready to weather and flat-coat this puppy.

And this is the U.S. jerry can from one of Tiger6's projects. I need to finish cleaning it up and get some paint on it, then I'll do update photos. I plan to print some more from that project this weekend. Very cool stuff.

He also did them in a mounted version

This weekend I want to try some of his cool workshop stuff, and a row of U.S. cans in 16th. Gotta have a bunch of stuff to throw in the back, right?
And I really like the look of the printed tires on Dean's truck, but I still think these trucks are bigger than 1/16, like maybe 1/14, and the tires look a bit small. It would be fairly easy to scale the tires up in cura, but the rims are a different animal. You need to scale them up, but keep the size of the hex the same. That's a bit beyond me, so if you're listening, Tiger6, could you do a file for a rim and tire the same diameter as the stock tire? The stock super soft tire has an OD of 67mm. But I guess we wouldn't want them to get much wider so the rears wouldn't stick out too far. Maybe shorten the axle, but only till it almost touches the bed? I guess we would need the split rims for the dual rears, too, eh? Is that asking too much? You've been totally cool about sharing, I don't want to be a hog.

I think its an excellent oppotunity for you to learn Fusion360 Gary - I'm a little back logged at the moment

Re: HL Truck Mods
I understand about the back log and it's no big deal. I won't be doing anything with fusion until I get a new PC, and that might be a while. Maybe then I might be able to do something, but till then I just rely on your good graces and you've been so cool about all this I'm just grateful to be included at all.
