Parts help.

Post by Model Builder 4 »

Afternoon all,

I'm hoping that someone may know a supplier or point me in the direction to where I could find the parts in the pic below, they are needed for 1/16 scale and the bore diameter is to fit onto a 3mm shaft

Cheers, Lee. Image

The one on the right is the steering knuckle from a WPL upgrade set. Any metal upgrade set for WPL should have 2 of those. If you want to buy them separately that makes matters more complicated.

2x early Tiger 1's made from parts of HL, Taigen, Mato and whatever I saw suitable.

A bit costly but this is the smallest set I found containing these parts.

Hi Renoir,

Yes that's exactly the part, the one in the pic is from such a kit, I don't need the other items from the kit so that's why I'm trying to source them separately. The other part is a centre diff cup fitting that I'm looking for, I've found similar items on ebay but unfortunately they are to fit bigger vehicles  hopefully someone may know where to find some :D thanks for your help

Cheers, Lee .

Hi Alwyn,

I am upgrading my Andrew's design sd.kfz 222 with the help of 'Eddyk' who is sorting the under powered motor/transmission out for me, these parts are on my list to upgrade aswell as the holes for the grub screws have elongated  any other idea's would be greatly appreciated

Cheers, Lee.

Just in case, dont spend too much on it. Metal Origin says they are releasing an upgraded version "soon" (please pick that soon as a grain of salt, lol) turret rotation, barrel elevation, and overall better parts (except a huge and oversized 540 motor) are expected... So maybe you will be able to buy parts as spares.

But no doubt meanwhile you can start installing a soundcard, vibration unit, smoke and so on, in case you dont have it yet...
