Well, it was a nightmare, but it may be over and I must say that paypal finally stepped up. They originally said I had to return the printer to the address provided by the seller, but creality provided an address in chinese characters so paypal had to translate it and when I took that to the post office they couldn't make heads nor tails of it (but they did tell me the tracking number demanded by paypal meant it would cost $263 USD!!), so I came home, called paypal, again, and this time I met Vicki and she totally saved the day. The printer is going back to New Jersey. She gave me the address to send it to, and told me that once tracking shows it's been delivered they'll issue the refund. And another great thing was that paypal kicked in $100 to help with postage when I thought it would be $160 to send it to china (just popped it right into my account, they did) and since it will only cost about 40 bucks to send this to New Jersey I get to keep what's left over. I even asked Vicki, "What about the hundred bucks you guys gave me?" and she said, "Just say, Thank you, Paypal and don't worry about it".
So I guess I was wrong, maybe you really can rely on paypal to protect you. They sure did a good job for me on this one. I mean, yeah, I did put about 5 hours into the mess and it was very, very frustrating, but if ever there was a case of "all's well that ends well" this might be it. I'll post again when it's in the mail and once I get the refund, so y'all will know how things turned out.
I, for one, plan to continue using paypal with confidence.

When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!
