Part of the appeal fo me- a large part, in fact- is the workmanship, and ingenuity, found in some of these aged armaments. I actually enjoy stripping them down and reassembling 'em.
I'm a big fan of Ian McCollum and his 'Rock Island Auctions' presentations (Rare firearms), as well as his 'Forgotten Weapons'. He's a genuine and eloquent enthusiast. Moral issues don't seem to hover round him..
