Re: Smoker: Yay or Nay
I don't like smokers. Similar to water, smoke don't scale down very well. Maybe with 1/6 scale but on smaller models looks fake.
Re: Smoker: Yay or Nay
Now I've seen it. Can you give more details of the tarr smoker?

Re: Smoker: Yay or Nay
I agree with Kaczor to me no matter what smoke units are used, they do not look realistic. I doubt that smoke can be scaled down in a realistic way anyway. I seen video clips of very realistic detailed scale tanks, that up in an environment that could make you think you look at the real thing. Till you look at the smoke. But then it is really a personal choice.

Run the motor backwards !!...................
Brilliant deduction !
How then do you increase the voltage to the element without the same to the now reversed motor ?

Yeah, I agree with Walter and Kaczor, sadly surrounding elements can't be scaled down. Minimal smoke is best, unless your inner child says otherwise

Only smoke screen looks good (in this case, real smoke charge
) Photo from 80's Poland. 1:10 scale T-34.

Re: Smoker: Yay or Nay
Very effective photo. But to me it looks more then steam then smoke.
Re: Smoker: Yay or Nay
Someone said once that making that much smoke the real tanks became easier targets. So that was not desirable.
Gasoline engines did not make much smoke. Russian diesel engines did.

Re: Smoker: Yay or Nay
How's this for smoke, then?
I'd like my model Sherman to do that too...
