RRC = Remote Radio Controlled.
Don't know who makes it or where it came from. I bought it in a lot from ebay. Nothing in the lot worked and had been sitting a long time. I changed out the radio gear and rewired the motors in series so that its speed is more like a Tank instead of a Toy. The gun barrel is missing and I have no idea what it looks like but will try to come up with something. It came with two cells ni-mh but changed it to one cell with motors series wired with new U-Micro rx,twin esc.
Working on the original rx. It worked for a while then quit. It is so small that it is not fun to work on
Sorry videos of this tank running were lost. Will update soon...

Re: World's smallest 2 channel twin motor RADIO CONTROL Tank
Sadly I don't know the size of that coin to help me picture how small this is.
And to be a tank, shouldn't it have a gun?
Yeah, always one complainer

That is a US penny. I will get some measurements in mm asap. Yes the gun is missing. I just got it running after a week of working on it in my spare time. I will try to figure out something for the gun. In the mean time can you think of something I might use so that people in the UK could get an idea of its size?Son of a gun-ner wrote:Sadly I don't know the size of that coin to help me picture how small this is.

are the youtube videos working in the links I posted?
It is a nice design as it comes apart easily with a jewelers screwdriver and is serviceable unlike most toys I see.

Usually a cigarette packet or lighter is universal as a size reference

Re: World's smallest 2 channel twin motor RADIO CONTROL Tank
Good morning,
There are tanks that are even smaller, 1/144 scale but are not true RC. They use IR to activate their tiny motors. Manufactured by TAKARA a decade and over ago, their weakness was their tiny scale tracks. They deteriorated in almost no time and I had spent years looking for replacements before I called it a day. Tiny battery still charges and the Potato Masher Grenade handset still works fine...just no tracks. Mine was the King Tiger Henschel turreted design.
regards,
Painless

Yes I did mention in the title in capital letters RADIO CONTROL tank. IMO IR remote control is a different category. The rubber tracks on this tank are in good shape and seem to be quite robust. I estimate the age of this Tank to be 12-16 years old.

Re: World's smallest 2 channel twin motor RADIO CONTROL Tank
Well, I do not smoke and do not have a lighter anywhere in the condo. As a former smoker, I can not stand the smell of cigarettes or any tobacco. So Have to think of something else. I know mm measurements work..Son of a gun-ner wrote:Usually a cigarette packet or lighter is universal as a size reference

Re: World's smallest 2 channel twin motor RADIO CONTROL Tank
Good afternoon again,
Understandable, hence my lengthy explanation. Have fun with the little Panther ( Looks like a Digi-Q model one ) Those tracks are not scale and should last unlike the almost paper thin and realistically detailed ones of the TAKARA models.

Painless, can't you use an appropriate sized elastic band?
Maybe draw the links on it?
Yes, I'm serious, I'm not making a joke.

Every serious model maker needs a cigarette lighter in their tool box, whether they smoke or not
Yes, I can visualise the size now, thanks
