When you said 'yard' I was trying to figure out what the problem was...'stadium' might have been more informative!

If the problem is just FPV, try a 5.8ghz set that drone flyers use. They have ample strength/range, even for a stadium! If you want your tanks to collect your shopping from the supermarket 5 miles away then you may still fail.
