Oh wow, you're so funny. . . .
Do you do mother in-law ones too?
Don't give up the day job. . . .

Do you keep clown boots and a large supply of salt at home? Would be handy too, just so you can kick a man while he's down, then rub salt in his wounds.

The guy uses Facebook to suck in his punters. When they show interest he promises the world. The punter is then persuaded to send monies/goods, when chased he asks for more. Then he disappears.

I don't see anything funny in that. The guy is a criminal but we don't seem to learn as these guys exist worldwide and con us out of valuables daily. Don't you get it? Phrases like Buyer Beware spring to mind.

Its all most unfortunate but you either need to know your suppliers well or be well protected against fraud. What surprises me is that this guy is known yet he seems to get away with it.

Another successful scam is reported. And Gunner doesn't get it...again!

Mick before you me and a lot of other people who read the general jumbos ill placed piece begin to build a scaffold for him I wonder if it is simply a case of missing his meaning because we are not in the same room and able to hear his inflexions and see his facial and bodily expressions,
Far too often the www is a conduit for misunderstanding because we cannot see the speaker..
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

No, I get it, and I've talked about your reply I highlighted off the forum.
There are ways of saying things, and there are other ways to say them like you just have.

Maybe you are the one not "getting it" at this point in time. Yes, I like to joke about, point out the obvious. But this incident wasn't one of them.

Thank you for your helpful and understanding response. I wasn't laughing at our victim. I'm sure the criminal was very convincing but l was trying to illustrate how these guys work. My illustration was exaggerated to keep it simple, not make a joke of it.

More to the point, IF he is known in our community, can someone not sort him.out? I'm not suggesting a contract killer (before I'm misunderstood)!

Then it needed re wording.

And thank you Shaun, I had asked other people's thoughts and opinions, so, it's not just me that thought it was written in a style of bad taste.

Mick, Shaun has hit the nail on the head, non face to face communication is frequently taken not as meant. Its not just a forum thing, it happens regularly in business too. Sympathy for the victim had already been expressed, and l agree. I feel very strongly about scamming (conning etc). Having seen the sympathy expressed l felt the need to warn us all by getting attention using an over the top example. We all need to take much more care - don't you agree? Now, I'm sorry if some have taken my warning as putting down the victim, it wasn't meant like that. Now, lets move on and, since you recently seem to bite every time l post, maybe we need to speak privately as its getting a bit silly. Apologies everyone else for kidnapping this thread!

Warning: whilst writing my phone has been bleeping so this post nay be out of sequence, as was the previous one!

I bite every time you post? That's a load of crap, I agreed that there is a more technical side to tanks alongside someone else, that's not biting, that's making an opinion.
In fact, now you mention it, you are the one that bit when I made a light hearted comment about the tank club.

Gosh, you really are self righteous and can't see the errors of your ways.

My last comment here. Whatever! Your short non constructive replies are not useful. Read them and reflect!

Again sorry everyone. We have better ways to pass our time.

Yes, I'm very sorry Dean for getting sucked in and derailing your thread by saying what myself and other people thought.
