HOME MADE RECOIL UNIT

HI GUYS HOME MADE RECOIL UNIT have copyed from panzerkitten how to turn a BB gun into a recoil unit well been playing in the shed for about 4 hours and I have done it still needs a little bit of work to finish it but it works .Started with the unit following the german site but have made a few mods to how they have done it . http://uk.babelfish.yahoo.com/translate ... http%3A%2F %2Fwww.rc-panzerketten-forum.com%2Fwbb2%2Fthread.php%3Fthreadid%3D10061%26hilight%3Drohrr%25FCckzug&lp=de_en&btnTrUrl=Translate  this is the site translated into english (gibberish)in places the differance is Ive kept the outer cylinder and on the outside will be 2 micro switches still to be fitted trip to mapins tommorrow ,my barrel just needs to opened up a little to fit over the outer cylinder th 2 micro switches one will stop the gun when it has returned to normal postion the other will operate the flash when the barrel is in full recoil see photos for the differance between mine and the german type.

Just been looking at this and I Missed somthing you dont have to file the end of unit on my mod but you do have to use dremmel to grind clearance for spring.the unit recoils just over 20mm which is about the same as the units that cost £31 so far the cost to me will be the 2 micro switches £1.95 each and for the 4p for the packer.

Hi Guys fitted the recoil unit into my panzer 4 along with a new home made barrel just to set up limit switch and flash switch then will have to wait for parts from Darkith to install I.R flash where red led was and muzzel flash ,will start schurzen after finishing switches .

Hi Guys an update this is this weekends work along with honey do list finshed the turret but still have to take it apart later to fit L.e.ds in the turret gun flash m.g and I.R so far this mod has cost me £1.95 thats for the micro switch .not bad for recoil unit and new gun barrel .See before and after still only prime paint have alot more work to do to this one yet next is the schurzen scale drawing for diamensions will start next week .
