I'm pretty sure I can come up with more than 39 results for 1/16 Tiger. There is loads of quality aftermarket parts for this beast. I'm also positive that most all could be used on static models. Except maybe the gearboxes. That might lead to actual RC by accident!

I just came away from it with the impression that someone is throwing a hissy fit because he didn't get his personal favorite scale selected. It was really hard to take any of it serious due to all the profanity. Don't get me wrong, I can cuss with the best of them and am always on the lookout to learn new words! If I was trying to actually make a point and be taken seriously, that is pretty much not the way to do it. The only salient point I can see he made was about the pricing. Considering the amount of tooling that goes into the scale kits, I can really understand it, though.

Oh, yeah. I never really thought of Peddinghaus decals in that way. I always considered them a quality product. Maybe he needs to do some research on applying decals and setting fluids!

I'll just say this - in our hobby the standards for scale, especially across types, is either non-existent or makes no sense. 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64 etc across all model types would do the job so much better with types, such as RC tanks, using 1/16 (so we got that right!). Why 1/14, 1/35, 1/72, 1/76 etc ever saw the light of day is beyond me. All the 1/35 armour fans could be just as happy with 1/32 and could have enjoyed parking next to 1/32 aircraft. To big? 1/64 awaits!

Sure, our scale will never come close to the magnitude of 1/35th options, but what we lack in off the shelf options we make up for in innovation yeah ?

I would love to see him lobby Tamiya or worse Heng Long to try to realign their production of the 16th scale to suit his Neolithic perspective!!

Almost every child from the late 50s onward saved their pocket money to purchase "Airfix's" latest offering in 1/72 scale.
It is an affordable entry into model building for young people and it helps in gaining the modelling skills that we need in 1/16,
It is still a great scale to get a feel for the upsized 1/16 model.
BUT 1/14 has no real place that makes sense in scale modelling But I suppose if you are into 1/14 you could make the same argument against 1/16.
