I have the one in the background. That open top Ural. As it is my first wheeled vehicle my opinion may be not very educated. It’s called 1/12 scale but I guess what is in that scale are the axles. Because no WPL upgrades fit. Nevertheless it is an attempt to make a decent rc vehicle. 380 motor. Servo steering. All proportional. I understand the recent setups were far from that.

2x early Tiger 1's made from parts of HL, Taigen, Mato and whatever I saw suitable.

Rear lights? Get a couple of 2mm red 'lighthouse' leds and drill a 2mm hole in the centre of the non-working lenses. Glue the leds flush with the light lens. Using Revell's red clear lacquer (tinlet) paint the lens. When off the rear light looks like a realistic red lamp lens and when on the lens glows, just like a real rear light. Simply wire the rear lights to the fronts to get power. Total cost, just a quid or two.

Having seen the RTR review and the fact that Gearbest are doing an offer, I had to get one - just for the instant gratification of receiving it and using it straightaway.

But here's a presentation of the kit version with some upgrades:

Tempting to get the kit too.

Oh dear, so many toys, so little time to play with them! Retirement can't come soon enough...

I just ordered the RTR version of the B36 Ural, as well as the RTR C24 Buggy

And some more tow hooks. 8)
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

That’s actually a good idea. Just 20 odd years away for me...

Sorry Nig', retirement doesn't help at all. It just gives you more time to fill the house with more and more models you still don't have the time to play with!
