Speedline 1/16th LCM3

Post by Ad Lav »

Landing craft ahoy :)

Collected this Speedline 1/16th LCM3 this morning, really nice bit of kit.

GRP hull and lots of brass and plastic detail parts. Twin 540 motors.

It’s bloody huge - came in a really nice carry box too.

Love that oil canning. Doesn't get much better than that.

Looks much better than the Torro version!
I have seen it can also be found as a kit, and that makes it very interesting for me.

It’s really nice, this was built by a professional boat builder for a magazine review.

Here's an interesting read for LCM fans, the Skill in the Surf manual from 1945.
