Question about the 6x6 WPL truck kit

Post by Lert »

Does the kit for the 6x6 WPL truck need any specific tools to build other than a screwdriver? Does it come complete with remote and electronics?

Comes complete unless you order the kit, in which case I hear you might come up short sometimes...

The remote and electronics are garbage, but its a good platform to build on

In my honest opinion the JJRC trucks have a better drivetrain, less drag & the wheels don’t wobble..
The 6 x 6 Q60 can be had for £25 if you look hard enough!

I bought the kit and it does not come with electronics, but is does come with a bigger motor than the RTR version and they also include a steering servo. I agree with Wayne that the JJRC trucks are better built, but I don't know if the WPL cab will fit JJRC or vice versa. Personally, I like the Chevy cab better.

I recently bought WPL Ural 4320. Pretty good in my opinion. Ready to run. It has a 380 motor and a steering servo. The transmitter is a bit on the cheap side but it supports servo steering. It also comes with a lipo battery. The only minor drawback turned out to be the gearbox. The 380 motor has a plastic pinion on which we managed to get slipping in the first night, in an hour or so. Which rendered the truck a shelf piece until I receive some orders.

This truck does look more sturdy than some others I have seen in videos. The drive shafts are strong and seem to be attached well.

Started as a tank man.
2x early Tiger 1's made from parts of HL, Taigen, Mato and whatever I saw suitable.
