Jagdpanther Drive Wheels

Post by Mackem »

Is it just me or are the HL Jagdpanther drive wheels too low. I've checked against reference photo's and when compared to the Bovington Jagd they look ok, but not compared to the Jagd at Munster.
If I'm right the HL Jagds gearboxes will need raising by 5mm which will mean major surgery in the not to distant future. So, opinions please.

Cheers
John

I've put metal tracks on mine and it's a real job to get the tracks on now. If I raise the drive sprocket by 5mm, I reckon the track will start clipping the hull overhang.
I didn't check the drive sprockets, but the metal rear idlers are bigger than the original plastic ones.

How were the idlers to fit?

A proper pain, I had to improvise with a self tapping screw that was dremmeed to death to fit, then re-shape the housing on the hull to get a good fit.
