On a whim I typed into a search engine "Trucks of the LRDG" I was surprised to find a lot of Photographs and drawings in great detail among the many sites that I trawled through.
So if you are looking for inspiration for your next truck build it might not be a bad place to start.

Doesn't surprise me. R A Bagnold (one of, if not the founder) published a lot of work on the region & particle mechanics and wrote of his pre and wartime experiences. The particle mechanics work is still useful today!
