There's ways of reducing the lines but as these were as a one off for Stu I didn't want to spend ages trying out different orientations. If I do more I'll try a printing them a different way.
Also they're resin which is easier to file/sand-

I'm going to have to twist your arm for a couple sets I think! And the turret bustle box too! Fab workWoz wrote:Ad Lav wrote:Is there a way to print without all the lines?

For home printers there are basically two different kinds, SLA printers, which use resin, and fdm printers which use filament. The ones with the lines are fdm and the best way to reduce that is to decrease your layer thickness. If you were to run that same print at a .06 mm layer thickness you would get much better quality, but it still would not compare to an SLA resin print.Ad Lav wrote:Thanks Woz, they look great and will save an awful lot of time.

I've been looking into getting an SLA printer but they're still pretty expensive and a lot smaller than what you get in an fdm printer for the same amount of money. For example, I can get an SLA printer for about $1,000 with a 130 mm by 130 mm print bed, or for the same price I can get an fdm printer with a 500 mm x 500 mm print bed. That's big enough to print the entire lower hull of a tank at one shot.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!
