Taigen King Tiger gear replacement

Taigen King Tiger gear replacement

My partners KT stripped a gear today, so we are looking for suggestions as to what to replace it with.

On the rctank.de site there are a few choices. I seem to remember the ones fitted now are 4:1? (Its a nitrotek full metal jobby) They are the alloy ones and clearly not strong enough for a heavy tank on rougher ground and inclines.

They have 2 different RMP on the 4:1 boxes, 18k on the 380 motor and 22k on the 390 motors. There is also a 5:1 set with 360 motors. We will be keeping the standard Taigen RX18 controller so dont want to overload it.

Is it JUST RPM thats different or is there a tourque difference too?

This KT already has metal tracks and drive wheels.

Suggestions?

EDIT: PS I also assume that the rctank.de ones are all steel gears and not the wek alloy ones

And can see more arriving at regular intervals!
Running Open Panzer + Benedini mini on the Panther and King Tiger 8)
