Stock Taigen tank and IBU2U

Post by MichaelC »

Hi all,

Does anyone has any experience with the stock Taigen tank and the IBU2U board ? I am curious if they are plug and play compatible. Specifically, I noticed that there is two 5 pin plugs, one for the IR stuff and one is for Xenon and Airsoft switch. The IR plug looks like it is pin compatible, but the other 5 pin plug coming from the turret only has pin 1/4/5 connected and not 2/3.

I usually rip everything and re-wire, but this time I bought a stock recoil tank and is curious if it is just a straight swap.

Thanks !

MichaelC.

YouTube recommended me this the other day, seems like it might be helpful.

The two missing pins in the xenon plug are for the trigger switch, which are unnecessary for synchronising the flash when you're using the IBU2. I'm not 100% on the IBU2U, but with the regular IBU2 you take the pins out of the five-pin xenon plug and make up a new three-pin one.

Thanks Raminator that make sense. My IBU2U board is still in transit but will try it out first before any re-wiring which might not be necessary.
