I have this Torro WSN tiger sitting in my garage.
afbeeldingen zonder copyright gratisAs a matter of fact, I do like the model the way it looks, despite the incorrectness of some parts on it, which actually does not bother me very much at the moment.
For a static it is a fine piece but not for cruising the surroundings, it is way too slow and even the slightest obstacle can not be overwon.
It has an IR function with recoil, but apparently this works the other way around...
When firing, the barrel moves forward first instead of moving backwards towards the turret. So when I do not activate the main gun, the barrel is too short in a way.
Sounds of the engine, machinegun and maingun are very good I must say.
Way better than the sounds of my Taigen Tiger.
But I have been thinking of making this a ride-able Tiger. I happen to have a new Taigen board laying around. No fancy V3 or so, just the simple cheap one.
Could it be possible to rebuild the internals with the Taigen board so it finally can be driven?
Can the Taigen board take the Torro sound module? I know, maybe I must change the wiring, but can I make the Torro sound module work with the Taigen board?
Anybody done this on here, rebuilding a WSN tank to Nimh battery and renew the internals?
When this circus will start, I will change the gearboxes too...if it can be done anyway....
The WSN seems to run on a 2.4 Ghz, so no Christals, but I cannot confirm that because I haven't opened the tank yet.
In a former topic I started about this WSN, is said when taking the upper hull off there must be several screws taken out.
Well, i found 3 on the hull, one up front and 2 on the rear deck. There should be 2 more.....?
Again, I am just thinking about all the options to make this tank ride in a descent way.
If it does not work, I might make a diorama with it next winter. But, while it is a 1/16 scale, it might become too big/large to store when finished....
But it could be fun to make anyway, ricght?
