Dumfries Aviation Musuem Military Vehicle Day 2018
Enjoyed a cool day out with family @ the aviation museum.

Saw a few old classic cars & some military vehicles. No tanks unfortunately!

They did have a 25 pound field gun which saw active service in 1942 with d-day etc, they were firing blank round to give a little demo.

I should add, the aviation museum is always looking for volunteers to help with restorations and keeping the planes maintained etc and painted. Obviously a few aircraft are overdue some paint, so do volunteer if you can.
If not at least go down and have a look if you are in the area, it is a cool small museum to visit, we do very regularly.

Thanks Will you just made an old man feel old,
The Champs and the QL bring back memories of being the only man in the unit with a permanently signed out parka (Champs had no heaters),And 92BE47 had no side screens but it was the only vehicle in the unit FFR The FFR Landies took another year before they turned up.
And the QL was the only truck in a NATO transport company in Germany that would start in an early winter morning and would then tow an almost brand new Mercedes six wheel wrecker getting it started,
The QL being a 1943 rebuild.
And the juice in the glass is the F100 Super Sabre, the first operational Fighter aircraft to exceed the speed of sound in level flight.

Glad i could bring back a few memories and make you feel old haha.
It's funny but I never knew what the little car was. So thanks for sharing, now I know it is an Austin Champ. Don't think I seen before!
