Take a look on You Tube, the CR-10 is the go-to printer nowadays.

Look for the CR-10S. It has couple features my CR-10 doesn't.

Tis true, but the ender 3 is far more competitive on price & is virtually the same printer as the CR10 just smaller & sturdier, with a print volume of 220x220x250
You’ll never get everyone to agree, I would have loved a 10s but I can get 2 ender 3’s for less money, so I end up with twice the speedImage

Just looked and the CR10s is outside my finances.
However if the 3d printer malarkey goes well it gives me something to look out for in future.

Still researching but trying to work out why some are better than others. What needs modifying. What could be upgraded and what limitations. After all I'm an engineer so like to check the technical details.

Hey Will, did you know that here in Detroit a bunch of us machinists get together every full moon and sacrifice an engineer to keep the Lathe Gods appeased? Just thought you might find that interesting. @)

The only reason I could afford a CR-10 is because I bought it on Black Friday. That 44% off made all the difference. But, in my opinion it's worth saving up for. There have been a few wrinkles but it's been mostly smooth sailing and I've printed a lot of parts since I got the printer last fall. As soon as I finish printing these cckw trucks I'm going to take another crack at printing tires with TPU. Of course, I still have many many hours of printing before these trucks are done.

Haha. I Still got my lathe, not used much yet on these last few builds. But I have an axle.to.machine for one of my trailers.

First, don't worry, Tom, RC Tankers are exempt from becoming sacrificial offerings, especially one with as much talent as you have, Mr. Hugill. 8)

On to the point of today's post. I've been messing with a wood filament. It's said to be a composite of 70% PLA and 30% "wood in-fill". Whatever it is, I like it very much and I want to try to spread a bit about to those that might like some little crates as accessories. So if you're interested, check out this video and see if you'd like to try a few of these crates. For guys in the U.S. I believe I can deliver 6 crates, 3 at 30x20x10 mm and 3 at 40x20x10 mm for about 5 bucks, including postage. For guys in the UK I might have to ask for an extra buck or two for postage, but since I'm using small padded mailers they shouldn't be much more than an ordinary letter.

So here's the video, let me know what y'all think, eh? 8)

And here's a bit more on glue and wash, just to show how easy to work with this stuff really is.

That is amazing work right there. Need to get some of that glue aswell. Great stuff. Although for me the postage appears to be as much as the bottle, so i will buy a few bottles! haha

I have been very busy printing and doing CAD for some of my mad builds!

Been designing and printing wheels for a few people completely custom and unique. Dual width, stretched, deep dish and hot rod inspired. More to come i am sure
