For the smoker i sabotaged an old paint stripper gun for the filament and used a little bit in the smoker wrapping it around a wick thoroughly soaked in baby oil and connected it to the pos-neg wires made a box out of an old plastic container (difficult to find the right size/thickness ended up being a baby food container!) and packed cotton wool around the filament, cut a reasonable sized hole in the lid and screwed a small pc fan over the hole then made two holes in the container and inserted a small length of brass tubing (7mm diameter) into the holes connected silicon tubes running from those to the exhaust outlets which is connected then to two more brass tubes going into the exhaust (to connect the brass tubes to the smoker and the rear plate of the tank i use silicon so it is airtight.).
finally make sure the cotton wool is THOROUGHLY soaked in baby oil (i mix in some black food colouring.) replace the lid with the fan attached and twist the wires from the filament together with the corresponding pos/neg from the fan and then using small terminal block wire connectors connect those to pos/neg wires to switch to battery pack.
phew had to think about that!
unfortunately its not proportional but in a tiger it looks more impressive as it belches out smoke rather than the stock HL ones which tend to puff out a few wispy bits of smoke before packing up!
p.s the smoker tends to drink up a lot of juice hence the separate battery pack! ::)

Hi Happytanke,
I like the way you centerlised your turret .Ive done mine to , but a simulare way to yours . And your smoke unit looks very good how powerfull is it as Ive added lifting covers to my exhausts , they may be small but they take some puff to lift them .
All the best Littletankman

its definitely getting there now steve but still got a fair bit to do yet!
hi littletankman its a lot more powerful than a stock HL smoke unit but i doubt it would lift exhaust covers due to the size of the fan (the one in my 1/6 stuart might but you wouldn't have enough room in a 1/16 for that one!).

maybe you could figure out a way to somehow mechanise them to raise when you throttle it?
that would be a new and novel idea if you could get it to work!
