I’m back - Taigen Tiger 1 1/16 scale

Post by SgtMalarky »

After 18 months of inactivity I am back on it!
Just purchased a metal Mato deck. It has come with full set of tools, cables, clamps and working engine grills.
It means I now have surplus tools so will be able to pass these on to anyone who needs them at just the carriage cost.
I am in the process of getting it to fit my existing hull. So far I have cut out the hatch inners as these came cast.
Question: with regard to the tools can anyone tell me which had wooden handles, ( axe for sure).
I intend to modify thus.

This is enough to get me going again at this stage.
Question: "how many tanks does one person need?"
Answer: "one more than they already have"

I was under the impression the handles on those wire cutters pictured above were made of bakelite?
Don't get your panties in a bunch , we still got hand weapons and the fifty!

I understand they were Bakelite as well.
They are track pin clip pliers from what I have been told.
Used to spread the clip that holds the pins in place.
Could be wrong, have been before but was mistaken !!!

To what was written in several other sites about the cutters it was compressed paper and only the thicker sections were bakalite caps.

This is my interpretation of the cable clamps. I have drilled out the cable clamps and fitted Schumo wing nuts. Am I on the right lines?
