I am pretty sure that Land Rover had a similar tracked variant and of course the six wheeler Landie was a favourite with RAF Fire Sections.
There is/was an Opel Blitz rear tracked 1/16 available from a German dealer although I cannot remember who.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Shaun, I believe this what you refer to

When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

I've also been looking at this, not for military application, but maybe to make a safari vehicle. I've already got a Cheetah for it to chase. 8) 8)

Will, I can't believe you're not all over that half track Kubelwagen. The way it's jacked up in the rear (like a '57 Chevy Hot Rod) I would think that would be very appealing to an old Rat Rodder like you. 8)

The Land rover halftrack called the Centuar we fitted a 20mm Gam Co1 on the back and I fired it in various ranges around the uk. as a platform it was good but as a go anywhere vehicle we kept bending the steering rod connecting link between the front wheels. She was good for 55mph BUT mind you a bit hairy for keeping in a straight line at that speed.
opp's you said get off the road
